Shana Tova

Tomorrow night is the beginning of Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year.

It is a beautiful holiday with lots of tradition.

As a culture, food is the center point of our holidays.

This holiday we eat apples with honey (to represent a sweet new year and the fall harvest)

Sweet challah with raisins and lots of yummy food at the meals.

It is easy to get caught up in the food frenzy.

I usually make 1 choice of something sweet and then eat my protein, and lots of salal and veggies.

Temptation is everywhere, there is alway s a holiday, party, wedding etc....

You need to make choices, if your goal is to be lean, fit and healthy then yes, sacrifices are to be made! Sorry.

Do choose 1 treat so you do not feel so deprived and end up on a binge!

I wish you all a very Happy & Healthy and Fit New Year.

Check out the link below it actually made me laugh
